We all have people we admire and learn from. Let me introduce you to a couple I look up to.

This is Elizabeth and her husband Blake. I first met them when I interned at Forum Christian Church. The whole staff and atmosphere at Forum is exceptional in many ways, but especially in joy, focus, and creativity. I learned so much from working alongside ministry professionals who genuinely wanted to help me grow in my faith and abilities as a graphic designer.

As soon as I started working, I really admired Elizabeth for her intentionality and graciousness. She took time to get to know me, and even after my internship was complete, she and I have maintained a friendship to talk about life, school, and ministry. Blake helped me a lot with an assignment for class and was super faithful at encouraging me anytime I was at the office. Needless to say, I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to learn and grow at Forum, but also to meet this couple and so many other families who are dedicated to intentionally connecting people to Jesus.

You can imagine my excitement when Elizabeth reached out and asked if I would capture maternity photos for them! What a special time in their life; I was so honored to spend an afternoon with them as they anticipate their baby boy.

We took pictures at Stephen's Lake Park in Columbia, MO, which is one of my favorite parks in COMO. If you've never visited that park, I would highly recommend it for a nice walk. We were even blessed with an overcast, 50 degree winter day (which is surprising for Missouri)!

What session would be complete without silly photos?

How Blake reads to the baby...

I'm still not exactly what sure what's happening in this photo. Is the bump crushing Blake or is he helping carry it? We'll let you decide...
