An Evening photo shoot by A hidden stream in Columbia
This session was unforgettable! I loved hanging out with the Defreitas Fam at the Grindstone Nature Area in Columbia. The creek was at the perfect level and the weather was gorgeous. I just love how their outfits popped against the bright green trees and brown stones. It came together so well!
What I enjoyed the most about this family session was watching the family support one another and be patient. The youngest was a little camera shy, but the whole family worked together to make her feel comfortable and happy. We splashed through the water, threw rocks in the stream, made silly faces, and had a little race to the bridge. It was so encouraging to see these parents choose joy and patience in the chaos. Plus, the older siblings were so kind to their sister and helped her have a good time. Photo shoots are just a snippet of real life, and while we got a lot of great "posed" shots, I think my favorites are the "in-between" moments that show the love and joy this family has.
