INSPIRED BY REAL LIFE EVENTS...

This year, I coordinated an Easter Bunny Styled Shoot for kids! I wanted to do this theme because I have a very prominent memory of when I was maybe 8 or 9, on an egg hunt in my grandma's front yard, when my cousins, brothers, and I came across a nest of baby bunnies! We picked them up and cuddled them, and my parents took some cute pictures. Forget hunting for candy! This was a real life prize. It was an Easter memory I will NEVER forget! (The photo on the left is circa 2007, and the glow up on the right is from this shoot!)

Because of this vivid memory, I wanted to give other kids a special opportunity to pet bunnies and get their pictures taken! So I began by reaching out to my cousin, a Lebanon local who takes care of lots of animals! She immediately agreed and we began brainstorming the set-up. With her help and the inspiration of Pinterest, I settled on a neutral color scheme with lots of texture. I reached out to a local florist and was THRILLED at the pampas grass, wheat, and baby's breath they provided. I also shopped at some local stores to find baskets, pitchers, and small stools. Everything else you see (rugs and backdrop) was found on Amazon!

I am also super excited about the location of this shoot! It was hosted at future home of The Hive by Honey Creek Media. The Hive is a new venture by Honey Creek, focused on bringing people together in a beautiful space. The renovated first floor will be an event space for gatherings of up to 100 people! The second floor boasts several offices for small businesses to rent. And as you may have seen on my social media, I will be renting one of those offices for my photography business! I couldn't be more thrilled to start working there. This photo shoot was the perfect first event, shot in the front window overlooking Commercial Street in Downtown Lebanon.

I really love how it all turned out and I think it was the perfect backdrop for the kids and bunnies. You can find links to connect with these local vendors at the end of this blog post!
